Jay Fabin, Associate Minister
I’m a lifelong resident of Greenfield, Ohio—born in the local hospital, raised right here, and a proud graduate of McClain High School, Class of 1969. My spiritual journey began when I was 12 years old, after a friend invited me to a youth group at the Greenfield Church of Christ. Thanks to a passionate youth minister and a welcoming congregation, I accepted Jesus as my Savior, and I’ve been attending this church ever since.
After high school, I had planned to attend Cincinnati Bible Seminary to pursue ministry, but life had other plans. I worked for eight years as an office machine mechanic at the Gossett Company, then spent five years in the life insurance field. Eventually, I found my long-term career at Greenfield Printing and Publishing Company, where I worked for 33 years.
In 1969, I married my high school sweetheart, Pamela. Together, we’ve raised three wonderful children—Nate, Brenda, and April—and have been blessed with nine grandchildren.
Throughout my life, I’ve been deeply committed to both the church and our community. I’ve served as a Worship Leader since I was 16, as well as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Elder, and a member of the gospel quartet The Singing Disciples for 29 years. I also volunteered for 28 years with the Greenfield Area Life Squad and have served in the Kairos prison ministry at Ross Correctional Institute for over a decade.
When the local printing plant closed in 2013, I trusted God to lead me into His next plan for my life. That call came in 2015, when I was asked to become the Associate Minister to the Seniors at Greenfield Church of Christ. I was ordained into Christian ministry on June 14, 2015, and I have been honored to serve in this role ever since.
Today, I continue to minister to our seniors, visit those in hospitals and nursing homes, and volunteer as a Chaplain in our local facilities. My passion remains sharing the Gospel, helping people understand and apply God’s Word, and serving our community through the love and truth found in Christ.
